I primarily use it to transfer ingredients from my cutting board into whatever cookware I'm using. It's also great for cleaning your workstation, smashing garlic cloves, and cutting dough balls. Just trust me, once you get one, you'll keep it handy forever. Misen's model has a sleek Walnut handle and a flat stainless steel surface. I generally hand-wash them, but it survives the dishwasher every couple of uses.
