Temperature Probe

In order to cook proteins to safe temperatures -- without going over and drying things out, you'll want a reliable temperature probe aka a meat thermometer. The Thermapen One is completely waterproof and extremely durable. They take the internal temperature between 2-3 seconds, and can also be used to check the oil temperature when deep-frying. Say goodbye to overcooked meat!

I also use these to check that my leftovers are heated through, generally to about 130.

 

I wish I had one of these that summer when I overcooked everyone's Ribeyes at the beach. Aunt Missy still hasn't forgiven me.
